Hi there! I'm Teala
Most days you can find me trying to figure out how to best parent two middle littles. You know that time in childhood that’s the in between? Not really little anymore, and not yet teens but, pacing our way toward adulthood? That’s where we’re at. I am married to another creative who isn’t afraid to rock turquoise jewelry. At any given moment you may find us dreaming about our next big adventure. I am always thinking about running off to the mountains.
I believe that life should be lived by the seat of your pants, trying to accept that you never really know for sure what is next. I believe in crazy joyful laughter and messy kids with good manners and big hugs from your grandma. My photography style? It’s real, honest, and emotional with a sprinkle of whimsy. It is filled with the kinds of things that create pure joy and laughter, and real moments that are pieces of the story you are living day in and day out. All I ask is that you show up as yourself and trust that I can handle delayed timelines and a bit of chaos like a champ.

Before your wedding, I work closely with you to thoughtfully plan the flow of the day-offering timeline guidance and insight drawn from years of experience. This preparation ensures that the moments that matter most are protected, unrushed, and given the time they deserve.
Calm intentional guidance
On the wedding day itself, my approach is calm and intentional. I offer gentle prompts and guidance when helpful, and step back when moments are unfolding naturally. Rather than directing every interaction, I focus on the energy of the room, the connections between people, and the in-between moments that can’t be staged.
Whimsical Editing and Cinematic Light
I am always going to chase golden hour. If we can grab wedding portraits during this time it’s magic. I am looking for golden flare, backlight and that yummy glow that can't be replicated during other times of day. Movement is my best friend, we have made a pact and I am looking for all the ways people and fabrics move. My editing style is true to life enhanced color with a touch of whimsy. Give me all those big beautiful skies!

Engagement session if you book 8+hours
Your engagement session is how I get to know you. How you move together, what makes you laugh, where your boundaries are and how you naturally interact so that by your wedding day I'm not a stranger with a camera. I'm someone who already knows your story.

More hands deck, more photos taken, we can be in two places at once, not a moment missed.
Content Creation (10+ iphone recorded bts video 30 seconds long)
Don’t worry about having a friend record everything on their phone, I’ll do it for you and send you the videos afterward!

Let’s get to know each other before the wedding day - and create some beautiful photos beforehand! It’s important to be comfortable with each other, this is the best way to do that before the big day!

No stress, take it slow and absorb everything that’s happening (a wedding day can go by so fast! This allows us time to breathe, create, and enjoy each moment without feeling rushed).
