I'm Teala — a Central Illinois photographer who believes the best images happen when you stop thinking about the camera. Whether it's your wedding day or a Sunday afternoon with your family, I'm here to document the warmth, the chaos, and everything in between.
My photography style? It’s real, honest, and emotional with a sprinkle of whimsy. It is filled with the kinds of things that create pure joy and laughter, and real moments that are pieces of the story you are living day in and day out. All I ask is that you show up as yourself and trust that I can handle delayed timelines and a bit of chaos like a champ. We will chat about timelines and important photos well in advance so that I know what to look for. I also like to think making formal family portraits quick and seamless is my super power. No one likes to stand for those.

They happen in the in-between — the laugh that escapes before you're ready, the way your person squeezes your hand, the kids doing exactly what you told them not to do. My approach is simple: I stay out of your way and let your story unfold. Then I chase the art hiding inside it. Your wedding day will move fast — faster than you're ready for. I stay out of the way and let it breathe, moving quietly through the chaos, chasing the glances and the tears and the moments nobody planned. What you'll have at the end isn't just photos. It's proof of how it actually felt.
02 ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS
Your engagement session is your chance to get comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day arrives. No stiff poses, no awkward directions — just you two, a beautiful location, and time to just be. By the time your wedding day comes, it'll feel like we've done this before.
Your family is not a still life. It's loud, silly, tender, and completely irreplaceable. I'm not here to line you up and tell you to smile — I'm here to catch the moments that make you who you are. The ones you'll want to remember when the kids are grown and the house gets quiet. Real, unhurried, exactly as you are.
