Mixing Family Sessions with Milestones
One thing to know about me is that I get attached. Not in a creepy way but rather in regards to working with clients multiple times and in different stages of their lives. My clients hire me to take wonderful and memorable photos of your family (aka they are investing in me). Then, while working with them, I have the opportunity to get to know them and their family and we start to build a relationship (aka I become invested in them and attached to their stories)!
That is exactly how I feel about this cute family. I am absolutely invested and adore them completely. I started working with Lenna when her son, J, was just a little guy. Lenna was so patient with me as I learned the art of photography and in those days I had no idea what I was doing. Luckily for me, she stuck in there and I have been able to work with her and her family ever since!
Our most recent photo session together was the result of some last minute problem solving. We decided to combine a motherhood session with a one year milestone session. I thought it worked out perfectly! I encourage the families that I work with to keep big milestones in mind when we start the planning process. I am always happy to capture some special shots or change up the setting if I know there is a milestone to capture.
Maci and J were a dream during the entire photo shoot. I was so impressed by how smoothly we transitioned between sessions and it was great to be able to provide two very different sessions with the simple addition of some cute props and an outfit change.
